Tanner is a self-taught abstract artist who lives in Pike Road, AL with her husband and two children. Her love and desire to create developed in college during her years studying Landscape Architecture at Auburn University. Those years opened up her eyes to a whole new world of design that demanded her to think “outside the box” at all times.

In 2021 she discovered a new creative outlet for herself through painting and her journey as an artist continues to evolve through her exploration of materials, experiences, and curiosity. Her inspiration comes from encountered shapes, textures and colors, Interior Design, the beaches of 30A, summer trips as a child to visit her grandparents in Winter Park, FL, and most significantly her family’s land that is a few minutes from her home. “It is over 3,000 acres of swampland, marshes, bogs, lakes, mossy forests, and fields. It is my visual playground and my heart.”
